Description: Virginia, 98 at the time of this interview, was a long time resident of the Red Fork community on the Tulsa westside. Virginia was in the first graduating class from Daniel Webster High School, 1938. An avid dancer, she met her future husband, Joseph Rodriques, at Cains Ballroom when she was still in the 11th grade. Marrying after graduation, they had two daughters by the time Joe was drafted in 1942 and sent to Germany where he was part of Patton's army. Growing up in the depression, marrying, raising children, working outside of the home, enjoying activities; Virginia describes her life as being full and rich due to her loving parents, family, her husband and children.
