Description: Jamie Townsend's dad inspired her to research The Old Lady on Brady--a project that lasted 20 years. The Convention Center of 1914 remodeled 3 times and has been named Convention Hall, Tulsa Municipal Theater, Theater Tulsa, Brady Theater, Old Lady on Brady, and once again Theater Tulsa. Jamie tells about the remodels in 1930, 1952, and Peter Mayo's conservation and improvements today. The Hyechka Club backed its creation and there has been a variety of entertainment and uses of the building. Jamie has a family connection to the building and participated in a search for the ghosts. The first custodian lived upstairs. Many blacks were held at Convention Hall during the Race Massacre. The Old Lady on Brady tells her own story in Jamie's book.
