Description: Steve Savage was adopted by family members and had a fun time growing up in West Tulsa. He recalls places and people in his life. His dad served in New Guinea and remained in the Air National Guard. Steve was in the Marines and based in Okinawa from 1969-1971. Steve, Roy Heim, Mike Massey and H & H Sand Blasting, and Art Haggard's 33 Self Storage have worked on restoring Tulsa Trollies. His family and others built the Church of Christ. He has memories of the Cole Theater, Reed Park, Jr. Hi football and baseball, and Dr. Walter Kemp. Lost businesses during Urban Renewal included H. E. Grocery, BB Grocer Bundy Hamburgers. He meets with the Class of 1966 monthly.
