Description: Robert J. LaFortune was born in Tulsa in 1927 and grew up there. He went on to be Commissioner of Streets & Public Property and two terms as mayor. During his tenure, the expressway system, the PAC, the Port of Catoosa, the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) and the MTTA were initiated. He also discusses the genesis of LaFortune Park.
