Description: Dr. Nancy Hammond was a geneticist at Children's Medical Center, invited by Dr. Sigh in 1973. She talks about the differences children may have on a clinical basis. Chromasonal analysis often looked for rearrangements within cancers, or solid tumors. Down's Syndrome, Miscarriages, Heart or Brain abnormalities and Spinal Diffida were areas of study. CMC then offered Occupational help, art therapy, or even emotional counselling. Dr. Hammond shares about research in genetics and the genetics community's goals. She served as president of ABMG. Children's Medical Center closed about 2000. The Genetics Studies moved to OU Medical Center at 41 and Yale and then to St. Francis in the Warren Building.
