Administrative - Traditional clerical responsibilities. Assist
staff with mailings, data base management, filing, web site maintenance,
etc.
Must have staff approval.
Archives and Research - Assist with research, cataloging, data entry,
and general maintenance of the THS collection.
Must have Staff approval.
Limited number of positions available.
Docents - Specifically trained to guide visitors through the THS exhibits.
Educational Programming - Develop curriculum and present educational
programs for youth and/or adults.
Event Greeter - Represent The Tulsa Historical Society at select
private functions. Greet guests and present prepared script about
the Museum and THS.
Gallery Attendant - Assist visitors in exhibit galleries by helping to answer questions about exhibits and the museum in general.
Greeter and Reception Desk - Greet guests, provide general information,
answer telephone.
Grounds and Vintage Garden - Lead guided tours of the Tulsa artifacts in the new Vintage Garden or assist in seasonal plantings and general grounds beautification.
Hospitality - Assist the volunteer organization with refreshments
and welcoming activities for volunteer meetings, events, training
sessions, etc.
Speakers Bureau - Make presentations to civic groups, organizations
and business groups. Work with educational programming staff to
develop new presentations.
Tour Guides - Act as an Official THS Guide to lead walking or driving
tours of Tulsa. Work with educational programming staff to develop
new tours.

These Tulsa Historical Society Guardians took a short break from their duties at the opening of the 1920s exhibit. Playing host to THS's eight
exhibit galleries and gardens doesn't let this group hold still for long. |
