January Music at the Mansion Concert

Amy Cottingham
Pianist - Vocalist - Teacher
Featuring a variety of music including original compositions, classical, jazz, rags, tangos and popular music.
Also featured will be Winona Fifield, violinist.
Amy’s Bio:
Amy Cottingham began playing the piano and violin at age three. She sings, composes, arranges, transcribes, teaches and performs classical and jazz. Her compositions of varying styles have been performed in Tulsa by the Signature Symphony and by local schools. Amy has recorded with other artists and has produced a CD of
her own compositions. With a Bachelors degree in Piano Performance, she has won numerous state and regional piano competitions. She has performed multiple solo concerts and traveled around the world performing with vocal and instrumental ensembles. She holds a Masters degree in Orchestral Conducting from Oklahoma State University.
Amy performs regularly with the Signature Symphony and the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. She has been invited to give solo recitals for the Brown Bag It series at the Performing Arts Center, the Music at the Mansion Series at the Historical Society, as well as recitals for church concert series and retirement communities. She has also been invited to perform alongside other artists in Performance Plus and Tulsa Fest, under the direction of Dr. Barry Epperley. Amy has also been featured at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame numerous times as a solo performer with her own show and as a guest on the Annual Keyboard Concert.
Amy has been teaching private piano lessons for fifteen years and manages a full-time music studio out of her home, with many students placing in piano competitions and going on to be music majors in college. She is an active member of the Tulsa Accredited Music Teachers Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association (with whom she is nationally certified) and the Hyechka Music Club, where she performs regularly. As an active accompanist, Amy’s experience ranges from musicals, school choirs and adult choirs to junior and senior recitals, auditions and professional recitals.
